Gracie's Critter Camp 2019

Summer Youth Program Application - click here for a PDF

Does your child love animals? Are they interested in being a veterinarian or doing other work with animals when they grow up? Then they would be an excellent candidate for Gracie's Critter Camp at Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center!

Gracie's Critter Camp emphasizes project-based learning and features week-long sessions that provide hands-on activities for youth ages 7-12. Each session includes a lot of learning and fun, with daily projects, crafts, guest speakers, snacks, animal visitors, and animal love-on time. Students take an active role in the program, working with shelter staff to create a safe, clean and healthy environment for all animals at the shelter.

Gracie's Critter Camp strives to enrich the lives of students and animals while encouraging animal advocacy and leadership development. Topics will focus on the issues surrounding pet overpopulation and responsible pet care as well as careers related to companion animal care.

Each session of the program will run one week, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Sessions are July 8-12 for youth ages 7-9 or July 15-19 for 10-12 year olds.

Parents will be required to provide transportation to and from the Saving Grace facility for their child. A snack will be provided daily. Each week-long session costs $100 per participant with limited scholarships and sibling discounts available upon request.

Enrollment is limited to ensure a small student-to-staff ratio which results in adequate supervision and meaningful experiences for every child. Space is limited to 15 students per session, so get your application in early!

Applications for the program are due Friday, June 14th. Completed applications may be dropped off at Saving Grace Pet Adoption Center at 450 Old Del Rio Rd. Roseburg, or mailed to PO Box 803 Winchester, OR 97495. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered on a space-available basis.
